Iranian Dy FM holds consultations with Pakistani officials

Islamabad, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday met with the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan to discuss matters of mutual interests

Ali Bagheri Kani met with Sohail Mahmood at the ministry of foreign affairs in Islamabad.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, including Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini.

The two sides discussed the latest developments related to Iran-Pakistan bilateral relations, regional issues, joint cooperation for peace and stability in the region, especially the situation in Afghanistan.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
